In the central part is depicted Yevhen Stepanovych Berezniak, a WWII participant and Hero of the Soviet Union. To his left is a six-line inscription: his lifespan 1914-2013, his name in Ukrainian: «ЄВГЕНIЙ БЕРЕЗНЯК» and the phrase «ПАРОЛЬ DUM SPIRO».
Obverse
In the central part is depicted the Basilica of St. Mary in Krakow (Poland). To its right is a two-line inscription: «2 ГРИВНI» - 2 Hryvnias. To the left, above, and to the right is an inscription in Ukrainian: «НАЦIОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ», which translates to: 'National Bank of Ukraine'. The inscription is divided by the Coat of Arms of Ukraine. To the left of the inscription is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint, to the right is the year of issue 2014.
