    In the central part, within a smaller circle, a crane crucified on a cross is depicted. Below the cross, along the rim, is an inscription in Ukrainian: «ПАМ'ЯТАЙМО!», which translates to «REMEMBER!». Around the cross are numerous small flames. Along the upper arc of the coin's edge, from left to right, is an inscription in Ukrainian: «ГОЛОДОМОР - ГЕНОЦИД УКРАЇНСЬКОГО НАРОДУ», which translates to «Holodomor – Genocide of the Ukrainian People». To the left and right, separated from the inscription by dots, are the years 1932-1933.

    In the central part, an emaciated girl is depicted, holding two ears of wheat to her chest. To her left and right are viburnum bushes with clusters of berries. Below her, in a semicircle, is an inscription in Ukrainian: «НАЦIОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ», which translates to «National Bank of Ukraine». To the left of the inscription is the coat of arms of Ukraine, to the right in two lines are the mintage year 2007 and the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint. In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, is the inscription: «П'ЯТЬ 5 ГРИВЕНЬ» - 5 hryvnias.
