Reverse
In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a Native American in traditional attire. Above the man's right shoulder is the date 2007, above his left is the monogram 'ML' - the engraver's mark of Laurie McGaw. Along the arc of the left edge of the coin is the inscription: 'CANADA' - the country name in English, on the right 'DOLLAR' - '1 Dollar'.
Obverse
On the left and right edges is the text 'ELIZABETH II D. G. REGINA'. Translation: 'Elizabeth II, by the Grace of God, Queen'. In the center is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II (the so-called fourth type), facing right. On the Queen's right shoulder is the monogram of the portrait's author. Below is the monogram of the designer Susanna Blunt.
