In the central part on the right are large numerals '20', below them a two-line inscription in English 'EURO / CENT'. To the right of the numerals is the engraver's mark of Luc Luycx 'LL'. In the central part on the left are the outlines of the eurozone countries. From them, six vertical parallel lines extend upwards and downwards, ending with 12 stars.
Obverse
In the central part is an image of Marianne the Sower. To her left are horizontal stripes, among which the mint year '2011' is placed. To the right of the figure are six vertical stripes, against which the symbols 'RF' — France's mark on EU coins — are placed. Between the stripes at the top is a horizontal inscription in French with the name of the artist Louis Oscar Roty — 'L.JORIO d`ap. O.ROTY'. At the level of Marianne's feet, on the left is the mark of the Paris Mint (cornucopia), on the right — the mark of the Chief Engraver Yves Sampo (pentagon).
