    In the central part, within a circle of dots, the Chinese characters "香" "港" "五" "仙" are arranged crosswise, with a dot in the center between them. Along the upper edge in an arc is the English inscription "HONG - KONG", below - "FIVE CENTS 1889". The digits "1889" indicate the year of issue. The characters repeat the text of the circular legend along the obverse. Stylized floral motifs are depicted on the left and right. The entire circumference of the rim features decorative elements in the form of denticles.
