    In the central part, within a circle of dots, the Chinese characters "毫" "香" "一" "港" are arranged in a cross pattern. A raised dot is present in the very center. Along the upper edge arc, the English inscription "HONG - KONG", below - "TEN CENTS 1896". The numbers "1896" indicate the year of issue. The characters repeat the text of the circular legend along the rim. Stylized floral motifs are depicted on the left and right. The entire circumference of the rim features decorative elements in the form of denticles.

    In the central part, the left-facing profile of Queen Victoria of Great Britain. She wears a crown on her head. The crown is a symbol of the authority of British rulers. Along the rim, on the left, the inscription "VICTORIA", on the right - "QUEEN". Translation: "Victoria, Queen". The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
