    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a city panorama, above it – the coat of arms of the city of Mtsensk, around the circumference – text: at the top – 'ANCIENT TOWNS OF RUSSIA', at the bottom – 'MTSENSK'.

Both branches slightly overlap the central insert. In the central part the denomination is indicated – the number '10', and below it the currency unit – 'RUBLES'. Inside the digit '0', depending on the viewing angle, one can see the inscriptions '10' and 'RUB'. Above the year of issue is the mint mark 'MMD' (Moscow Mint).
