    In the central part, within a circle of dots, the Chinese characters "香" "港" (↓) "五" "仙"(←) are arranged crosswise, with a dot in the center between them. Along the upper edge arc, the English inscription "HONG - KONG", below - "FIVE CENTS 1872" - "Five Cents 1872". The numbers "1872" indicate the year of issue. The characters repeat the text of the circular legend along the rim, executed in English. Raised dots are present on the left and right. The entire circumference of the rim features decorative elements in the form of denticles.

    In the central part, the left-facing profile of Queen Victoria of England, wearing a diadem. Along the rim, on the left, the inscription "VICTORIA", on the right - "QUEEN", which translates from English as "Victoria, Queen". Below is the letter "H" - the mint mark. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
