

(1813 Munich - 1888 ibid) Family and village idyll on the river, delicately painted work by Brunner, in which he combines a summery cheerful, southern German mood landscape with a rural genre scene. Brunner went to Salzburg after his studies at the Munich Academy in 1840; in the following years he resided in Innsbruck, Meran, Venice, and from 1865 to 1869 in Stuttgart before returning to Munich. Since 1851, Brunner has been a member of the Munich Art Association. Oil on panel. Signed and dated 1868 with location Stuttgart. 34.5 cm x 46.8 cm. Frame.
