Description

from P.P. Bazhov Urals Tales, young widowed Nastyona adorned in gold jewels and crowned with a detailed tiara and opalescence dress, kneels next to her late husband Stepan's malachite casket which is filled with jewellery which was given to Stepan from the legendary Mistress of the Copper Mountain. Nastyona holds a mirror in her right hand to exam her jewels, factory mark and quality and date '1966' in green overglaze; '66' in blue overglaze;dimensions: 20.6 x 15.9 x 15.2 cm (8 1/8 x 6 1/4 x 6 in.)
