A captivating genre painting depicting a young woman in Bavarian costume sitting on a stump-lined log wall in front of a farmstead, surrounded by a girl and a small child, as well as chickens, a sheep, a lamb, and a dog. Executed in a delicate and nuanced color palette, this work is a fine example by an Upper Bavarian genre painter who studied at the Munich Academy.
