

(1863 Düsseldorf - 1914 ibid.) An elegant Biedermeier couple in the park. This Jugendstil picture, created by Polle around 1905-1914, captivates with its expressive lighting atmosphere. Polle studied under his father, the landscape painter Hermann Polle the Elder, and learned painting from 1889 to 1895 under Peter Janssen at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. Since 1890, Polle has presented his paintings at the major Berlin Art Exhibition. Additionally, Polle participated in significant exhibitions in Dresden, Munich, St. Louis (USA), and Vienna. Oil on canvas; signed and dated; 77 cm x 77 cm, in the original octagonal frame.
