(From 1880/1899 London – 1945 there?) Portrait of a noble English girl, a work that differs from the main body of work of the sought-after portrait artist, who became known for his representative portraits of the British and American upper class, as well as the English royal family. Vicaji was the daughter of the Anglo-Indian artist Rustam Vicaji (1857–1934); in 1922, she held her solo exhibition at the Erich Gallery in New York, where she presented, among other things, a bust portrait of Queen Alexandra and portraits of other significant figures, such as the British Prime Minister Lloyd George. Oil, canvas; signature (or signature stamp). Minor defect.
