

(1925 Weng im Innkreis – 1992 Braunau am Inn) In the expressionist forest landscape painting "Wald," with strong impasto and limited color brightness, created by Plancks, who expressed a desire to become an artist early in life. Initially receiving an education as a primary school teacher, he participated in exhibitions of young artists in Linz at an early stage. On the recommendation of Herbert Beckl, from 1950 to 1954 he studied under Albert Paris Gütersloh at the Academy in Vienna, and in 1963 at the Warburg Institute in London. After traveling throughout Europe, the Austrian artist increasingly devoted himself to wood engraving, but later also created watercolors and oil paintings.
