In the style of Carl Fabergé, this item is crafted from silver, partially gilded, and enameled. It takes the form of a tube with a relief leaf frieze on a round nephrite base. The oval, blue enameled and wavy guilloché segmented body is adorned with rich, intricate appliqués featuring a cornucopia, flowers, twisted "C" scrolls, and volutes. The finial is a fully sculpted, crowned double-headed eagle with an applied ornament of relief volutes, partially decorated with rose-cut diamonds. Inside, there is a miniature naturalistically rendered elephant crafted from partially gilded silver, embellished with a ruby cabochon against a green-and-black striped nephrite background. Created in 1888, it weighs 480 grams and stands 16.5 centimeters tall. This Russian silver egg with gilding and enamelwork represents the style of Carl Fabergé. It bears the hallmark "88" and originates from 20th-century Russia.
