

In the style of Carl Fabergé, this piece is a rectangular frame with three oval cutouts for pictures. The wide frame is made of malachite with a marble-like appearance, meticulously crafted and adorned with attached garlands of gilded brass with flowers. The central cutout for the picture is located beneath a crown and decorated with a bow and leaves. The narrow profiled frame is surrounded by embossed pearl and lace strips. The central finishing element is a cartouche, flanked by carefully crafted bows and laurel branches. Above it is a small bird on a flaming torch and a quiver filled with arrows. This piece is adjustable on the reverse side. The dimensions of the frame are 39 cm x 27 cm, and the cutout for the picture is 7 cm x 9 cm. Provenance: From the collection of Igor Shleicher, Cologne.
