

In the style of Carl Fabergé, this piece is a rectangular frame with three oval cutouts for pictures. The wide frame is made of malachite with a marble-like appearance, meticulously crafted and adorned with attached garlands of gilded brass with flowers. The central picture cutout is positioned beneath a crown and decorated with a bow and leaves. The narrow profiled frame is surrounded by relief pearl and lace strips. The central finishing element is a cartouche, flanked by meticulously crafted bows and laurel branches. Above it sits a small bird on a burning torch and a quiver filled with arrows. This piece is adjustable on the back. The frame dimensions are 39 cm x 27 cm, with the picture cutout measuring 7 cm x 9 cm. Provenance: From the collection of Igor Schleicher, Cologne.
