A small enamel decorative box
Description

Silver, enameled. On a flat base, a cylindrical body with a hinged lid. The surface is adorned with elegant multicolored flowers on a transparent, silvery-gray enameled background with wavy guilloché. On the lid, the monogram "FJ" is engraved under the Archducal crown of Franz Joseph of Austria-Tuscany and Archduke of Austria (1905-1975). Signed, marked, primarily by master Johann Suval (active around 1915). The interior is gilded. Weight approximately 25 g. Height 3.4 cm, diameter 2.6 cm. See photograph of the hallmark in the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK), Vienna, inventory number PZ 6552. Provenance: from a private collection in Brandenburg. Acquired at auction at Dorotheum in Vienna on April 26, 2006, Kaiserhaus auction, lot 201.
