

From the silver of the Saxon kings' court. An oval bowl transitioning into flat surfaces, a widening handle with a rounded guard and a delicately pronounced central ribbing. On the reverse, a monogram engraved "FA" by Frederick Augustus I (1750–1827), who became Elector Frederick Augustus III in 1763 and King of Saxony in 1806. Above it, a monogram "A" engraved in Gothic script, belonging to his great-grandfather Albert (1828–1902), also King of Saxony from 1873. Additionally, there is an indistinct inscription "(?) FW". Weight approximately 160 g. Length 36 cm. A large royal German Baroque serving spoon made of Dresden court silver and belonging to the kings of Saxony. Monogrammed. German. Dresden. 18th century.
