Description

Silver. A round stand with convex feet, transitioning into a compressed, convex body with a slightly recessed shoulder and a narrow rim, decorated in a wavy pattern. A high, dome-shaped lid resembling a cap, with a wooden handle in the shape of a cube, edged with a dark brown ribbon. The surface is covered with fine chased decoration. On the sides—two curved, conically expanding handles made of ebonized wood, enclosed in spiral mounts. Dated to the year 800, maker’s mark, dealer’s mark "Sönnichsen". Weight approximately 705 g. Height 19.5 cm. Bowl diameter 17.5 cm. German soup tureen with a silver lid in Art Deco style. Standard 800 mark, maker’s mark, dealer’s mark. German. Bremen. Koch & Bergfeld. 1st quarter of the 20th century.
