Description

Soviet porcelain figurine of a Red Army soldier from the State Porcelain Factory, Leningrad, circa 1930. Realistically modeled, depicting a standing Red Army soldier, possibly created after a model by Vasily V. Kuznetsov based on a design by Boris M. Kustodiev. Dressed in a fur-lined coat, marked inside the base with a blue overglaze hammer and sickle mark. Height – 7 7/8 inches (19.8 cm).
