Description

SOVIET PORCELAIN FIGURINE "FISHERMAN WITH FISH" (FEBRUARY), LENINGRAD PORCELAIN MANUFACTORY "LOMONOSOV", 1928. The image depicts a young fisherman in a hat, his fishing line draped over his shoulder, and his catch—clearly a large and brightly colored sturgeon—held in one hand, designed by Vasily Kuznetsov (1882–1923). With a printed round mark of the hammer and sickle, dated 1928, and printed Cyrillic initials А.Л. from the modeler Anatoly Lukin. Height 7 inches (17.5 cm).
