

Soviet propaganda porcelain tea set "KIM Uzbekistan" (Communist Youth International), Dulevo, approximately 1927-1932. The base features a green factory underglaze mark. The Communist Youth International (KIM) existed from 1919 to 1943 as an international youth organization, a branch of the Comintern. The founding congress of KIM took place from November 20-26, 1919, in Berlin. Twenty-nine delegates from thirteen countries represented 219,000 members of youth organizations. The organization's goal was to create a broad mass youth movement to defend their economic, political, and cultural interests. In May 1943, after the dissolution of the Comintern, KIM was also disbanded.
