Description

Soviet porcelain group "Ruslan and Lyudmila," likely from the Dulevo factory in Likino-Dulyovo, circa 1950. Apparently unmarked, possibly created from a model by Asta Davydovna Brzhezitskaya (Russian, 1912-2004), developed in the 1950s. Lyudmila is depicted wearing a kokoshnik. The underside features an impressed mark and ink notations "5455" "1597" (partially worn) and in Cyrillic (Н НМ (?)). Height: 14 3/4 inches. SOURCE: Private collection, Maryland.
