Soviet porcelain group "Ruslan and Lyudmila", likely from the "Dulevo" factory, Likino-Dulyovo, circa 1950. Apparently unmarked, possibly based on a model by Asta Davydovna Brzhezitskaya (Russian, 1912-2004), developed in the 1950s. The depiction of Lyudmila features a kokoshnik. The underside bears an impressed mark and ink notations "5455" "1597" (partially worn) and in Cyrillic (Н НМ (?)). Height: 14 3/4 inches. SOURCE: Private collection, Maryland.
