According to Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans, this rectangular photo frame depicts an Eastern woman with dark hair in a light blue setting inspired by Egypt, framed by red material adorned with gold dots, caring for her birds. The elegant polychromatic image is embellished with gold accents. It is based on a painting by Belgian artist Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans. The photo frame bears a scepter imprint and KPM marks. It is encased in a gilt wooden frame with a black lacquered edge. The plaque measures 17.5 cm x 12.5 cm, and the frame size is 40.5 cm x 35.5 cm. Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans (1816-1889) is known for his historical paintings and Oriental genre scenes inspired by his travels to Algeria, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. It is mounted by KPM Berlin.
