According to Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans, this rectangular photo frame depicts an Eastern woman with dark hair in a light blue setting inspired by Egypt, bordered by red material covered with gold dots, tending to her birds. The elegant polychrome image is adorned with gold accents. It is based on a painting by the Belgian artist Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans. The photo frame features a scepter imprint and KPM marks. It is framed in a gilded wooden frame with a black lacquered edge. The plaque measures 17.5 cm x 12.5 cm, and the frame size is 40.5 cm x 35.5 cm. Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans (1816–1889) is known for his historical paintings and Oriental genre scenes inspired by his travels to Algeria, Italy, Greece, and Turkey. It is mounted by KPM Berlin.
