The Gifts of the Mistress of the Copper Mountain

The mysterious and beautiful image of the fairy-tale beauty—the Mistress of the Ural Mountains and guardian of precious stones—inspired many Soviet artists. The original Dulevo figurine "Gifts of the Mistress of the Copper Mountain" was created by the talented sculptor P.M. Kozhin. The figurine "Mistress of the Copper Mountain" (USSR) is made of high-quality porcelain at the Dulevo factory and is beautifully painted with polychrome paints using the underglaze painting technique. Against the backdrop of a predominantly pleasant color palette, emphasis is placed on the expressive facial features, as well as the rich emerald shade of certain elements, advantageously highlighted by exquisite gilding. The Dulevo porcelain figurine "Mistress of the Copper Mountain" has a special "twist"—it is decorated with luster painting. As a result, the pearlescent sheen enhances the picturesque effect of the sculptural composition.
