Description

Ceramic covered with a bronze color; inset glass eyes. Numbered "1007 (/) 4" and "128". A rare version of the well-known eagle figure, which was probably created by Arthur Storch in porcelain around 1921 for the oldest porcelain factory in Volkstedt, Thuringia, in connection with his large figures for the porcelain palace in Leipzig. Height 53.5 cm. Provenance: from the estate of a significant North German private collection. Large ceramic sculpture, covered with a bronze color, with inset glass eyes on an octagonal base, created by Arthur Storch around 1921. Numbered "1007 (/) 4" and "128". German. 2nd quarter of the 20th century.
