Art Deco style plate

Maiolica. Round, flat coupe form. Decorated with polychrome painting depicting a standing putto with an apple and a laurel branch, surrounded by stars, with a border along the edge. Marked "MOLARONI PESARO." Diameter 27.2 cm. Stylistically, the plate can be attributed to the Italian variant of Art Deco, known as "Novecento," whose most significant designer was Gio Ponti.
