Description

A unique ceramic vase. Ceramic granite, light gray shard. Hemispherical body, cylindrical neck, prominent rim. Light and dark brown ash glaze; painted, stylized leaf or bamboo decoration in reddish-brown. Workshop marks "KERSTAN KANDERN" and "K", as well as a brush mark with the date "Kerstan 1981" in dark brown. Height 17.5 cm. A unique ceramic bottle-shaped vase created by German studio potter Horst Kerstan. Signed and dated 1981. Kandern. Horst Kerstan. Date 1981.
