Reverse Shifted left-upwards, the central element of the coin is the denomination: 5 RUBLES. In the left and lower-right parts of the coin are scrolls of a flowering plant.
Obverse At the top along the rim (bead) are the words 'BANK OF RUSSIA'. In the center of the coin is a double-headed eagle, below it the denomination 'FIVE RUBLES'. Under the eagle's left foot is the producer's (mint) mark 'MMD'. At the bottom near the edge is the year of mintage '1998', above the year are two pointed, oppositely directed lines with a dot.
