    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of the Archangel Cathedral in Moscow. To its right is the date '1508'. At the top, along the outer rim of the coin, the inscription 'ARKHANGELSKY SOBOR' (Archangel Cathedral) is placed in a semicircle. At the bottom is the inscription 'MOSKVA' (Moscow) and an ornament.

    In the upper part of the coin is the State Emblem of the USSR, encircled by a ribbon (15 turns), below it the letters 'USSR', slightly lower the denomination of the coin, the numeral '5', and below that the word 'RUBLEI' (Rubles). At the edge of the lower part is the year of mintage '1991'.
