    The central part features a three-line inscription: ҂ЯѰД•ГРИВНЯБ*К• indicating the year of minting in Cyrillic (1704), the denomination, and the mint mark. The edge of the coin is decorated with a leaf ornament.

    The center of the obverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle bear crowns, with a larger third crown between them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. The heraldic eagle is surrounded by a dotted border. Outside the border are the letters 'Ц • И • К • П • Я • В • Р • С •'. The rim is executed as an ornament of oak leaves.
