Reverse The central part features a four-line inscription: ГРИВЕННИКЪ҂АѰДМ, indicating the denomination, the year of minting in Cyrillic (1704), and the mintmark. The edge of the coin has a dotted border.
Obverse The center of the obverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle bear crowns, with a larger third crown between them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. The rim is executed as a twisted rope pattern (denticles at an angle to the ground).
