    The central part features a three-line inscription: ҂ЯѰθ•ГРИВНЯБ*К indicating: the year of mintage in Cyrillic (1709), the denomination, and the mint mark. In the lower part, below the mint mark, is an ornament. The edge of the coin is decorated with a leaf ornament.
  • Obverse
    The center of the obverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is placed between them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Around the heraldic eagle is a dotted border. Outside the border are the letters 'Ц • И • К • П • Я • В • Р • С •'. The rim is executed as an ornament of oak leaves.
