    The center is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads wearing crowns, with a larger third crown above and between the heads. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Around the eagle is the text: МАНЕТА ДОБРАѦ ЦЕНА ПОЛТIНА ҂АѰА (1701). Around the edge of the coin is a border of dots.
