    The field is divided into unequal segments by four semicircles. In the central part, a biathlon skier is depicted during a race. To his left is a snowboarder; to his right, a pair figure skating couple; above him, a freestyle skier performing a flip. Near the athletes, twelve snowflakes of various sizes are depicted.

    In the central part, within a smaller circle truncated at the bottom, a snow-capped mountain is depicted. Above it are geometric shapes of various colors. To the left below the mountain is the year of issue 2014, to the right below the mountain is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint. In the central part below the mountain is a three-line inscription in Ukrainian: «ЗИМОВI ОЛIМПIЙСЬКI IГРИ», which translates to: «Winter Olympic Games». To the left, top, and right is an inscription in Ukrainian: «НАЦIОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ», which translates to: «National Bank of Ukraine». The inscription is divided by the Coat of Arms of Ukraine. In the lower part, along the edge of the coin, is the inscription: «ДВI ГРИВНI» - 2 Hryvnias.
