Reverse In the central part, surrounded by a stylized wreath of long leaves, the number '1/4' - 1/4 (real) and the mint year 1855. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
Obverse In the central part, a boy is depicted facing front, holding a bow in his left hand, an arrow in his right hand, and a quiver on his shoulder. A mountain is depicted between his legs. Along the arc of the coin's edge from left to right runs the Spanish text: 'DEPARTAMENTO DE CHIHUAHUA', which translates to 'Department of Chihuahua'. In the lower part along the arc of the coin's edge are two five-pointed stars. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of dentils.
