In the central part, surrounded by a laurel wreath, a left-facing profile portrait of the goddess Liberty. Around the edge of the coin, separated by a five-pointed star, an inscription in Spanish: 'ESTADO LIBRE Y SOBERANO DE SINALOA', which translates to 'Free and Sovereign State of Sinaloa', and decorative elements in the form of dentils.
