    In the central part, within a circle of yellow metal, is the coat of arms of Zaporizhzhia Oblast (Ukraine). Around the edge of the coin is an inscription in Ukrainian: «ZAPORIZKA OBLAST. ZASNOVANA U 1939 ROCI», which translates to: 'Zaporizhzhia Oblast, founded in 1939'.
  • Obverse
    In the central part, within a circle of yellow metal, is a collage consisting of: a flying twin-engine airplane, two sunflower blossoms and wheat ears, a hydroelectric power station dam, a stylized depiction of an atom, and molten metal pouring from a ladle. Above the dam is the year of minting, 2014. In the upper part, along the curved edge of the coin, is the coat of arms of Ukraine, separating the inscription in Ukrainian: «NATSIONALNYI BANK UKRAINY», which translates to: 'National Bank of Ukraine'. Below (separated from the upper inscription by a dot on the left and the Kyiv Mint mark on the right) is the inscription: «PIAT HRYVEN» - 5 Hryvnias.
