In the central part is a Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, with a soldier's helmet resting on the tombstone. Above the tomb is a colorized image of three growing poppy flowers. To the left of the flowers is the year 1945, to the right – 2015. Above and below the numbers is a decorative pattern of triangles. In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is text in Ukrainian: «70 РОКІВ ПЕРЕМОГИ», which translates to «70th Anniversary of Victory».
Obverse
In the central part is depicted a dove sitting on a viburnum branch. Above it is the Coat of Arms of Ukraine. Below it, in a semicircle, is a two-line inscription in Ukrainian: «5 ГРИВЕНЬ» - 5 Hryvnias. To the left is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint, to the right - the year of issue 2015. In the upper part, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the country name in Ukrainian: «УКРАЇНА». Around the image and inscriptions is a decorative pattern of triangles.
