  • Obverse
In the central part is depicted the coat of arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, which is a round disc with an angel framed by two interlocking chains. Along the outer edge of the disc at the top is the state name in English 'REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS', at the bottom — the motto in Marshallese 'JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN', translated as 'Accomplishment Through Joint Effort'. From the angel's head, two rays extend upward, between which is a twenty-four-pointed star. Above the angel's wings, on the right is a fishing net, on the left — a shell tool. Below the wings: on the right — a canoe, on the left — coconut palms. Below the angel is an image of a traditional Marshallese navigational chart in perspective, below it an inscription on a ribbon 'Seal', translated from English as 'Seal'. Under the outer chain, to the left of the disc, is placed the sign $10 — 'ten dollars', to the right — the year of mintage '1991'.
