  • Obverse
The central part depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, which is a round disc with an angel framed by two interlocking chains. Along the outer edge of the disc, the state name is inscribed at the top in English: "REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS", and at the bottom is the motto in Marshallese: "JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN", translating to "Accomplishment Through Joint Effort". Two rays emanate upward from the angel's head, between which is a twenty-four-pointed star. Above the angel's wings, a fishing net is depicted on the right and a shell tool on the left. Below the wings: a canoe on the right and coconut palms on the left. Beneath the angel is an image of a traditional Marshallese navigational chart in perspective, below which is the inscription on a ribbon: "Seal". Outside the outer chain, to the left of the disc, is the sign $10 — "ten dollars", and to the right is the year of minting "1991".
