In the central part, a Manx cat is depicted facing left, looking directly ahead. Above it, the semi-circular English text 'TWENTY FIVE PENCE'. Below, the year of minting '1975' is placed horizontally. Along the edge of the coin is a chain pattern, with the heraldic symbol of the island at the top.
Obverse
In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. Below the portrait truncation are the Latin letters 'PM'. Along the rim are inscriptions in English: on the left, the name of the British Crown Dependency 'ISLE OF MAN'; on the right, the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II'. A decorative beaded border runs along the circumference of the rim.
