Reverse

In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of an ancient single-masted sailing ship moving to the right across the sea. At the top, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the English text: 'ISLE OF MAN'. At the bottom, separated by dots, is the English inscription: 'FIFTY NEW PENCE'. The coin is heptagonal in shape.

To the left and right along the edge is the text 'ELIZABETH THE SECOND'. In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II.
