To the left of the god is a trident, below it the name in English 'NEPTUN'. At the bottom left near the rim are the symbols 'DE' — the artist's mark of Dean Ellis.
  • Obverse
In the central part is depicted the coat of arms of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, which is a round disc with an angel framed by two interlocking chains. Along the outer edge of the disc, at the top, the name of the state in English 'REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS', at the bottom — the motto in Marshallese 'JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN', translated as 'Accomplishment Through Joint Effort'. From the angel's head, two rays extend upwards, between which is a twenty-four-pointed star. Above the angel's wings, on the right, is a fishing net, on the left — a tool made from a mollusk shell. Below the wings: on the right — a canoe, on the left — coconut palms. Below the angel is an image of a traditional Marshallese navigational chart in perspective, below it an inscription on a ribbon 'Seal', translated from English as 'Seal'. Below the outer chain, to the left of the disc, is the sign $10 — 'ten dollars', to the right — the year of issue '1994'.
