Along the upper edge arc - the numeral 8: "٨". In the center, a three-line inscription in Arabic: "مدة محمد الصادق بتونس" - "MOHAMMED AL-SADEK KING OF TUNISIA". Below - the minting year: "١٢٨١" - 1281 AH (Hijri year) or 1865 AD. Along the arcs of the left and right edges are two olive branches, which cross at the bottom and are tied with a bow.
Obverse
In the central part, a three-line inscription in Arabic: "السلطان عبد العزيز خان" - "KHAN-SULTAN ABDUL-AZIZ". To the left and right along the rim are two laurel branches, which cross at the bottom and are tied with a bow.
