Reverse In the central part is the Quiriguá monument against a background of vegetation. To the right of the monolith, an inscription in Spanish in two lines: '10 CENTAVOS'. Along the lower edge, an arched inscription in Spanish: 'MONOLITO DE QUIRIGUA' (Quiriguá Monolith). The edge of the coin features raised elements in the form of dots.
Obverse In the central part, within a small wreath of leaves, is the coat of arms of the Republic of Guatemala. Below it, the mint year framed by dots: 1994. To the left, top, and right along the rim is the country name in Spanish: 'REPUBLICA DE GUATEMALA'. Along the rim is a dotted relief pattern.
