Reverse
A decorative raised pattern of triangles runs along the edge of the coin. The central part of the reverse features a relief image of a Fijian throwing club (tavatava). Above it on the left is the large numeral 10, and below it is the inscription "cents", meaning "ten cents".
Obverse
Along the upper arc of the coin's edge on the left is the inscription "ELIZABETH II", which translates from English as "Elizabeth the Second". On the right is the country name and year of minting "FIJI 1990". The central part features a right-facing profile of the Queen wearing a crown.
