Obverse

The center features a right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. In the truncation are the initials of the British sculptor Raphael David Maklouf – 'RDM'. On the left, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the English name of the monarch 'ELIZABETH II', and on the right, the name of the island nation 'FIJI' and the year of minting '2009'.
