    In the central part, the numeral 5 within a circle. Around it are the nine coats of arms of the Federal States of Austria: Vienna, Burgenland, Upper Austria, Vorarlberg, Carinthia, Styria, Lower Austria, Salzburg, Tyrol. The coats of arms are positioned with their base towards the center, forming a sun-like pattern. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in German: on the left, top, and right the country name 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' (Republic of Austria), at the bottom the inscription 'EURO', flanked on both sides by a dot.
  • Obverse
    In the center is the triangular emblem of the Austrian Armed Forces. On the left, a man in military uniform holds a rifle. On the right, an S-70 transport helicopter is depicted facing right during a rescue operation: a rescuer lifts an injured person attached to the helicopter on a cable. Against a background of camouflage pattern are horizontal inscriptions in German: at the top in three lines '60 JAHRE BUNDESHEER' (60 Years of the Armed Forces), on the right the founding year of the Austrian Armed Forces and their motto '1955 SCHUTZ UND HILFE' (Protect and Rescue), below that the year of minting '2015'.
