Reverse
In the central part, against a background of a stylized globe entwined with a laurel wreath, a woman is depicted holding a palm branch above her head. Along the upper edge of the coin, an inscription in Ukrainian from left to right: «55 РОКIВ ПЕРЕМОГИ У ВЕЛИКIЙ ВIТЧИЗНЯНIЙ ВIЙНI», translated as: «55th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War». Along the lower edge, separated by two five-pointed stars, are the years: 1941-1945.
Obverse
In the central part, the country name in Ukrainian: «УКРАЇНА». Above it is the coat of arms of Ukraine. Below the country name, a two-line inscription: «2 ГРИВНI» - 2 Hryvnias. Below that is the year of mintage 2000. Along the edge of the coin is a wreath of oak and laurel branches, intertwined with a St. George's ribbon.
